Bird Watchers Delight - 2nd Feb 2014

We have recently had visitors, Scott and Jeanne Reddog, from America who were thrilled with the abundant bird life here at our luxury accommodation, Hereweka Garden Retreat.
The abundance of birds on our property and at Hoopers Inlet meant that there were many opportunities to photograph the birds that live on the Otago Peninsula, Dunedin.
At present there are an abundance of Fantails, Tui, Bellbird and Rifleman and Kingfisher in our garden.
There are numerous wading birds to be seen only 5 minutes walk from our self contained boutique accommodation at Hoopers Inlet. Amoungst these are Royal Spoonbills, Pied Stilts, Oyster catchers and Herron.
We were thrilled last week to see a White Heron at our gate. These are rare visitors to the Otago Peninsula and Dunedin.
We were delighted when Scott generously emailed some of his beautiful photographs for us to display on the website
