If you look carefully at the photograph you will see several ripe figs in the trug.

While we have surplus we delight in adding figs to the fruit bowl which we supply with your organic breakfast tray.

With the warmest summer on record here at Hereweka Garden Retreat, on the Otago Peninsula, Dunedin, our organic vegetable garden has never been so productive .

Our adult children looked after our luxury accommodation while we took two weeks holiday.

You can see in the photo the trug full of green beans freshly picked .

We have been sending friends and family home loaded up with vegetables- beans, beetroot, lettuce, tomatoes, cucmbers and carrots.

We have been able to supply guests with our surplus vegetables too.

Next installement of news will be a photo of our ripe figs!

Peter picked 6 ripe figs this evening. Delicious!

They are at least 5 weeks earlier than usual.

We love adding fresh figs to the breakfast tray we supply for our guests.
